“Per la Bruna” is a feature-length documentary in production, directed by Carla Roda and produced by Tabata Films. It explains what Usher syndrome type 1B is, the work of Save Sight Now Europe | Fundació Síndrome d’Usher, and the story of the family who founded the organisation after Bruna’s diagnosis.
On 26 May 2026 we presented the first preview, the sizzle reel, at the Cinema Edison in Granollers. It was covered by somGranollers and El 9 Nou.
“This project is a deeply personal turn. It is not only a professional challenge but also an intimate journey, to document the strength of a family.”
Carla Roda, director of “Per la Bruna”
Where the project stands
The documentary is in production. Carla has been following our family for three years, and counting: lab meetings in Basel, scientific congresses in Denver, family moments in Catalonia and Switzerland, and conversations with the researchers leading the global fight against USH1B.
On perlabruna.com, the film’s website, you can watch the sizzle reel, follow the project and support it.
At La Nit de la Visió
On 21 November we will show the sizzle reel at La Nit de la Visió 2026, at the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. If you haven’t seen it yet, this is a good chance: book your ticket.
