Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of savesightnoweurope.org, which will not accept any gift that cannot be used in line with its purpose and mission.
No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances it would jeopardise the donor's financial security.
savesightnoweurope.org does not give advice on the tax or other treatment of gifts and encourages donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers.
savesightnoweurope.org accepts donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services are accepted at the discretion of savesightnoweurope.org.
Other gifts, such as real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted, must be reviewed before acceptance because of the special obligations or liabilities they may raise.
savesightnoweurope.org will provide acknowledgements to donors meeting tax requirements. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift.
savesightnoweurope.org will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and the wish to remain anonymous. For anonymous gifts, information about the donor is restricted to staff members with a need to know.
savesightnoweurope.org will not compensate any third party, through commissions, finders' fees or other means, for directing a gift or a donor to savesightnoweurope.org.
