Les Bones Causes: Another Year Giving Voice to Usher Syndrome on Catalunya Ràdio

This season (2024–2025), the “Les Bones Causes” segment on Catalunya Ràdio’s morning program has once again given Usher Syndrome a voice. Several well-known figures from Catalonia’s cultural, sports, and journalistic sectors have spoken out in support of Usher Syndrome type 1B and the work led by our foundation.

Throughout the 2024–2025 season, Catalunya Ràdio has once again opened its microphones to raise awareness about Usher syndrome, giving our cause a dedicated space in Les Bones Causes — the segment within El Matí de Catalunya Ràdio that amplifies the work of organizations and foundations supporting underserved communities.

This collaboration has allowed us to bring Usher syndrome type 1B into the public eye, sharing the urgency of advancing research and treatments for those affected by this rare disease. Each month, a prominent voice from Catalonia’s cultural, journalistic, or sports scene joined us to shed light on our mission and to help make the invisible visible.

We are profoundly grateful to Catalunya Ràdio and to the Les Bones Causes team for their commitment and generosity. Their platform has helped us express not only what we do, but why we do it — and why the search for a cure cannot wait.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the exceptional individuals who joined the campaign with their voices and support:
Marta Pontnou, Dani Alegret (Els Amics de les Arts), Elisenda Pineda, Aitana Bonmatí, Berto Romero, Raquel Sans, Julio Manrique, and Marta Tomasa.

We also want to acknowledge the powerful support received earlier in the initiative from Mercè Martínez, Clara Segura, Daniel Anglès, Jordi Bosch, Mara Jiménez, and Laura Andrés — and, of course, Gara Roda, our friend and volunteer, who has been essential throughout.

Thank you for helping us run this long-distance race — one we are determined to win for children like Bruna and so many others living with Usher syndrome.
