Solidarity Market for Usher 1B in La Vall de Santa Creu
Every purchase brings us closer to curing childhood blindness.
In summer 2025, Vall de la Santa Creu hosted, for the very first time, a solidarity second-hand market to raise awareness of Usher Syndrome Type 1B, a rare disease causing deafness, balance issues, and childhood blindness. The event took place during the traditional Sant Roc festivities.
The activity is organized by Save Sight Now Europe, a European foundation born from the commitment of a family deeply connected to La Vall. Following their daughter Bruna’s diagnosis, they decided to take action and accelerate research to find a cure for this devastating disease.
All proceeds went directly to scientific research programs that the foundation supports in collaboration with leading research teams worldwide. Every purchase helped us move toward a cure.
