Usher syndrome 1B, the disease that Leo has and that needs research to save his sight

In Catalonia, it is estimated that 6% of the population suffers from some rare disease out of the 7,000 minority diseases. The problem faced by those affected is the lack of investment in research, which makes it even more difficult to find a cure. One of them is Usher syndrome, a hereditary disease that affects both hearing and vision. One of these patients is Leo, a boy from Deltebre who is now fighting not to lose his vision.
